Todd Knight is the head football coach at Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. He has a career record of 171-131 in his 29 overall seasons as head coach. Knight has led his team to 14 straight winning seasons including six Great American Conference (GAC) championships and five NCAA Division II playoff appearances. 

Today on the podcast, we talk to coach Knight about leading a football program with a foundation in Christ and finding strength in the midst of tragedy after the death of defensive lineman Clark Yarbrough.

Shelby Rogers is a professional tennis player who turned pro in 2010 at the age of 17.  In 2020, Rogers defeated Serena Williams in the Top Seed Open and became only the fouth player ranked outside the top 100 to defeat Serena in a main-draw match. Later that year, she reached the quarterfinals of the U.S. Open and in 2021, she reached the 4th round of the Austrailian Open and the 3rd round of Wimbledon. 

In August of 2022, Rogers reached her highest career ranking of No. 30 on the WTA tour and had three wins over top 10 players including defeating No. 9 ranked Danielle Collins in their French Open second round matchup. 

Today on the podcast, we talk to Shelby about being a follower of Christ on the WTA tour, finding identiy and purpose away from the tennis court and the Bible studies she's a part of with other tennis players.

Justin Simmons is a Pro Bowl safety with the Denver Broncos. Since arriving in the NFL, he has solidified himself as the starting free safety and was rewarded with a four-year contract in March 2021. Last season, he led the NFL in interceptions with six and was named to second-team All-Pro team for the third time in his career.

Matt Holliday played fifteen MLB seasons with the Rockies, A's, Cardinals and Yankees. He made his MLB debut on April 16, 2004 with Colorado and went on to play in seven All-Star Games, three World Series and win a championship with St. Louis in 2011.

Matt and his wife Leslee are the hosts of Sports Spectrum's Table Forty podcast.

Today on the show, we talk to Matt about his son Jackson being selected number one to the Orioles, the reason behind stepping away from the Cardinals hitting coach position and the importance of being around his family and growing in his walk with Jesus.

James Reimer is a goaltender in the NHL with the San Jose Sharks. He was selected 99th overall in the 2006 NHL Draft by the Toronto Maple Leafs and four years later, made his NHL debut in 2010 with Toronto. 

Over his 13 year career, Reimer has played with Toronto, Florida, Carolina and San Jose.

Today on the podcast, we talk to James about the tiny Canadian town he grew up in, growing in his faith, being a Christian in the NHL and how he handles success and failure.

Wayne Simien is a character coach with the Kansas Jayhawks. He played his college ball with KU, where he was a consensus All-America selection and Big 12 Player of the Year in 2005. His success in college led him to become a first-round selection in the 2005 NBA Draft by the Miami Heat (29th overall).

Simien played two seasons with the Heat, and earned an NBA championship ring his rookie season as Dwyane Wade and Shaquille O’Neal helped Miami to its first-ever championship in the 2006 NBA Finals. In October 2007, Simien was traded to Minnesota but never played another game in the NBA. He played a few more years overseas before retiring in May 2009 at the age of 26 to pursue ministry work.

Today he is serving with Kansas as their AD of Engagement and Outreach and his number 23 is retired at Allen Fieldhouse. 

On this episode of the podcast, we talk to Simien about his new role with Kansas, growing up a Jayhawks fan, why he considers his work as ministry and lessons learned from Roy Williams, Bill Self and Pat Riley.

Dan Orlovsky covers football as an analyst for ESPN. He appears on various ESPN shows each week, including NFL Liveand Get Up.  He also is a game analyst and has appeared on ESPN's college football coverage as well as Monday Night Football.

Orlovsky is a former NFL quarterback who played 12 years with the Lions, Buccaneers, Texans and Colts. He announced his retirement in 2017 in an article he wrote for Sports Spectrum and joined ESPN in 2018.

Today on the podcast, we talk to Dan about his decision to pray on national television on his show NFL Live, being obedient to God, Tom Brady's retirement and his thoughts on Super Bowl LVII.

Nate Oats has been the head coach of the University of Alabama men’s basketball program since March 2019. He came to Tuscaloosa after five successful years as the head coach at the University of Buffalo. He is a two-time MAC Coach of the Year  and the 2021 SEC Coach of the Year.

On this episode of the podcast, we talk to Coach Oats about how he has dealt with a former player's arrest a few weeks ago on January 15 and trusting in God to guide him through prayer and scripture to lead his team and move forward for the rest of the 2022-23 college basketball season.

Oscar Tshiebwe is a college basketball player with University of Kentucky. In 2021-22, he won the John Wooden Award for college basketball's national player of the year. He averaged 17.4 ppg and 15.1 rebounds in leading Kentucky to 26 wins and a No.2 seed in the NCAA Tournament. In April 2022, he announced he would return for his senior season with the Wildcats.

Tshiebwe grew up in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and didn't play basketball until age 14. After moving to the United States in 2015, he quickly developed as a player and in his senior season, was named Pennsylvania's Gatorade Player of the Year. After a few seasons with West Virginia, Oscar came to Kentucky in 2021.

Today on the podcast, we talk to Oscar Tshiebwe about how prayer and fasting played a role in his decision to return to Kentucky and why his goal as a basketball player is to point people to Jesus.

Marquis Daniels is a former NBA player who is currently the Director of Player Development for the Auburn Tigers basketball team under head coach Bruce Pearl. Daniels played his college basketball at Auburn, where he was named All-SEC second team his senior year.

Daniels would go undrafted coming into the NBA, but signed with the Dallas Mavericks. In his 12 year career, Daniels was a member of  four teams and played in two NBA Finals (2006, 2010). 

Today on the podcast, Marquis Daniels talks about his role with Auburn, giving back to young people, his time in the NBA, the injury that almost ended his career, and the obstacles he's had to overcome recently that have drawn him closer to God.

Paul Allen has been the voice of the Minnesota Vikings Radio Network since 2002. He also hosts a daily show, “Allen’s Page,” on KFAN radio in Minneapolis and is the voice at Canterbury Park horse racing each summer. He’s called more than 40,000 horse races and more than 400 Vikings games.

Allen came to faith in Christ at age 52 in June 2019, and is now also the host of the “Faith and Goal” podcast, which intersects sports and faith.

Today on the show,  Paul Allen returns to discuss 2 Corinthians 5:20 and what it means to be an ambassador for Christ in the sports world.

Annika Schmidt is a professional soccer player with the Houston Dash in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). In college, she was a three-year starter at Butler University and selected to the All-Big East First-Team three consecutive years.

In 2020, she signed to play soccer overseas in Sweden with Goteborg FC and then in January 2021, she signed with the Houston Dash and the NWSL. In May 2022, she tore her ACL and meniscus while training for the upcoming season and missed the entire year.

Today on the podcast, we talk to Annika about her soccer career, her faith in Jesus, the knee injury she suffered in May 2022 and how she's trusting God to guide her in he midst of this setback.

David Klingler played seven seasons in the NFL with the Cincinnati Bengals, Oakland Raiders and Green Bay Packers. He was selected 6th overall in the 1992 NFL Draft by the Bengals after a stellar college career at the University of Houston that saw him set multiple records and finish as a Heisman Finalist in 1990. 

Among the records Klingler set at Houston include him throwing for 11 touchdown passes in one game on November 17, 1990 against Eastern Washington. In December 1990, he set the NCAA D-1 record for most yards gained a single game with 716 (since surpassed in 2014). 

After his playing career, David obtained his Masters in Theology in 2004 and a PhD in Old Testament Studies in 2010 from Dallas Theological Seminary, where is currently an Associate Professor of Bible Exposition. 

Today on the podcast, we talk to David Klingler about his incredible college football career, getting drafted 6th overall in 1992 by the Bengals and his desire to teach people how to read and understand God's word.
