Leger Douzable played ten NFL seasons as a defensive lineman with the Jets, Titans, 49ers, Jaguars, Bills, Titans, Rams and Giants. He was undrafted after coming out of college as an All-Conference USA selection at Central Florida. 

After retiring in 2017, Douzable went into broadcasting and currently doing work covering college football and the NFL with SNY and ESPN. 

Today on the podcast we talk to Leger Douzable about his faith in Christ, leaning on God when life throws you curveballs, pursuing his broadcasting career, being thankful for his one playoff game he played in and what it means to fully place your trust in the Lord.

Kristy McPherson is an LPGA Tour Pro who has had 17 career top-10 finishes in her 19 year career. She played college golf at South Carolina University and earned seven victories in her four year college career. She was awarded the Honda Inspiration Award which is given to a collegiate athlete "who has overcome hardship and was able to return to play at the collegiate level."

Growing up, McPherson was diagnosed with Still's Disease at age 11 (juvenile idiopathic arthritis) and was confined mostly to bed and unable to walk for a year, she was told she would no longer be able to compete in any sport that required jumping or running. Kristy overcame that and in 2008, she recorded six top-10 finishes, and finished 47th on the official money list. In 2009, McPherson recorded a T-2 in a LPGA major, the Kraft Nabisco Championship, followed by a T-5 three months later at the next major, the LPGA Championship.

Luke Weaver is a pitcher with the Arizona Diamondbacks. He was selected in the first round of the 2014 MLB Amateur Draft by the St. Louis Cardinals after a stellar college career at Florida State University. In August of 2016, he made his MLB debut with the Cardinals and was named the Cardinals 2016 Minor League Pitcher of the Year. 

After two more seasons in the Majors, Weaver was traded on December 5, 2018 to the Arizona Diamondbacks with Carson Kelly and Andy Young in exchange for Paul Goldschmidt. 

Today on the podcast, we talk to Luke Weaver about preparing for the 2022 season, trusting in God amidst uncertainty, being discipled and mentored in St Louis by Adam Wainwright, the shock of being traded to Arizona and using his baseball glove as a way to share his faith.

Ben Roethlisberger played 18 seasons as the quarterback of the Pittsburgh Steelers from 2004-2021. He announced his retirement from the NFL in late January 2022 after a career that saw him lead Pittsburgh to three Super Bowls, winning two championships and being selected to six Pro Bowls. At the time of his retirement, he was fifth all-time on the NFL passing yardage list (64,088) and eight all-time on the NFL passing touchdowns list (418).

Matt Sayman is a former Baylor Men's Basketball player and the current head high school basketball coach in Texas. He received a full scholarship from Baylor and played basketball there from 2000-2004. After remaining with the program following a shocking scandal in the off-season before his senior year, Matt would go on to break the Baylor career record for games played (118).

Jake Boss Jr is the head baseball coach for the Michigan State Spartans, In 13 seasons at MSU, Boss has compiled a 359-302 (.543) record. His 359 wins are the most over a 13-year span in program history. Five of the 10 winningest seasons in MSU history have come under Boss’ direction. He has guided the Spartans to 30-win seasons in seven of the last 11 completed seasons, as well as the Big Ten regular-season championship in 2011 and the NCAA Tournament in 2012.

During Boss’ tenure at Michigan State, MSU has had 35 selections in the Major League Baseball Draft, including three or more in six of the last 11 years. His father, Jake Boss Sr. is a longtime baseball coach who was inducted into the Lansing Sports Hall of Fame in 2009.

Tanner Morgan is a quarterback with the Minnesota Golden Gophers. He joined the Gophers in 2017 and redshirted his first year. In 2018, he took over as the team's starter and remained there through 2021. Because of Covid and the pandemic, Morgan will return for a 6th super senior season in 2022.

Morgan was a high school standout in Kentucky, where threw for 27 touchdowns his senior year. He originally committed to Wester Michigan but changed his mind and committed to Minnesota when head coach P.J. Fleck joined the Gophers.

In 2019, Morgan set multiple Minnesota records including passing yards, touchdown passes (30) and in a 38-31 win over Purdue, he finished with the highest completion percentage in a game in Big Ten history (21-22, 95.45%)

Today on the podcast, Tanner shares about being a Big Ten quarterback, returning to Minnesota for 2022, losing his father to cancer in 2021, working through grief and how his faith in Jesus Christ has been his anchor.

Jake Reed is currently an MLB pitcher with the New York Mets. He was selected in the 5th round of the 2014 MLB Draft by Minnesota. In 2021, after 7 years of minor league baseball, he finally made his MLB debut in 2021. 

Jake is married to Janie Reed, a member of Team USA's softball team, who won a silver medal in the 2020 Summer Olympics. 

Today on the podcast, we talk to Jake about his crazy 2021, clinging to his faith in God, making his MLB debut and cheering his wife on at the Summer Olympics.

Quarterback Isaiah Sanders just finished his college football career at Stanford. A sixth-year senior from Aurora, Colorado, graduated from the United States Air Force Academy in 2019 with a BS in Systems Engineering, and later earned a MS in Management Science and Engineering. During that time, he was named a member of the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team, was named a Mountain West Conference Scholar-Athlete, and in 2019 was a semifinalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy and a finalist for the Wuerffel Trophy.  In 2020, as a fifth-year senior, Sanders transferred to Stanford and continued on this season for the Cardinal at quarterback.

In 2021, it was announced on The Home Depot College Football Awards on ESPN that Sanders is the 2021 recipient of the Wuerffel Trophy. At Stanford, he founded the “Adopt-A-Cardinal” program, which pairs a football player or position group with a classroom of grade school students to regularly encourage them, read to them, to assist them with their homework and to help them in any way possible.  He participated in the Lockheed Martin Internship in Orlando, was Cadet-in-Charge of FCA, and was the Community Service representative for three years at the Academy. Sanders was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Air Force in April 2020 and was selected as a Human Factors Engineer by the USAF.

Jason Adam is a professional baseball pitcher who spent the 2021 season with the Chicago Cubs. 

He made his MLB debut May 5, 2018 with the Kansas City Royals and in 2019, pitched with the Blue Jays in Toronto. In 2020 and 2021, he was with the Cubs, splitting time with the big league club and their AAA affiliate in Iowa. 

Today on the podcast, we talk to Jason Adam about his time with the Cubs, the gruesome injury he suffered in early 2021, trusting in God's plan and the amazing comeback he made to return to the mound before the end of the season.

Kai Crutchfield is a senior guard with the NC State Women's basketball team. She joined the Wolfpack in 2017 as a freshman after a stellar high school career that saw her win NCBCA District 5 Player of the Year and All-State First Team in 2016-17. Ranked as the 82nd overall player in her class, Crutchfield has helped NC State to a Sweet Sixteen berth in 2018, 2019 and 2021. 

Away from the court, Crutchfield is an entrepreneur and has started her own apparel line called "Scripted Apprl" with the goal of putting faith into fashion.

Mark Appel was the number one overall pick in the 2013 MLB Amateur Draft by the Houston Astros. In 2015, he was traded to the Philadelphia Phillies and at the age of 26, stepped away from baseball in 2018. After a few years away from the game, he announced he was making a comeback to chase his MLB dream and return to pitch professionally. He would appear in 23 games with the Phillies AA and AAA minor league affiliates striking out 60 batters in 71 innings pitched. 

In college, Mark was a standout pitcher for the Stanford Cardinal where he won National Pitcher of the Year in 2012 and in 2013 was named the Pac-12 Conference Scholar Athlete of the Year.

Bill Curry is a two-time Super Bowl champion who played 10 seasons in the NFL with the Packers, Colts, Oilers and Rams.  He participated in Super Bowl I, III and V and played for legendary coaches Vince Lombardi and Don Shula.

As a coach, Curry was the head football coach at Georgia Tech, Alabama and Kentucky, winning the 1989 Bobby Dodd Coach of the Year award. 

Today we talk to Bill Curry about Super Bowl 56, what it was like playing in the first ever Super Bowl, the faith of Vince Lombardi and his final NFL season in 1974 as a member of the Los Angeles Rams.
