Morgan Burns is a former cornerback and kick returner for the Kansas State Wildcats. His senior year, he returned four kickoffs for touchdowns and earned Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Year from the league's coaches. 

After going undrafted in 2016, he signed with the Tennessee Titans but just a few weeks later, he walked away from pro football to pursue ministry where he spent time as a youth pastor at City Church in Wichita, Kansas.

He is currently the lead pastor of a church plant in Wichita (Redeemer Church).

Tyler Zombro is a pitcher with the Tampa Bay Rays organization. He pitched in college with George Mason University and then signed with the Rays in 2017. After going a few years through the minor league system, Zombro reached as high as AAA in 2019 and in 2021, was back in AAA pitching with the Durham Bulls.

On June 3, 2021, Tyler was facing Brent Cumberland of the Norfolk Tides when a pitch was hit back up the middle at over 100 mph and hit Zombro in the right side of the head just above the ear knocking him unconscious. After being taken to the hospital, neurosurgeons at Duke University Hospital installed 16 plates and 36 screws during 2 1/2 hours of emergency surgery to stabilize Zombro’s skull

Today on the podcast, we talk to Tyler about his journey of baseball, wisdom from his grandfather Wimpy, that scary day in June 2021, his desire to possibly pitch again, the prayer he prays on the mound, and how his faith in God has shown him that he's here for a bigger purpose than baseball.

Monty Williams is entering his third season as the head coach of the Phoenix Suns. In 2020-21, he led the Suns to their first NBA Finals appearance since 1993 and finished second behind Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau for the NBA's Coach of the Year award. 

Prior to his time in Phoenix, Williams had coaching stops in New Orleans, Portland and Oklahoma City. The former player was a No. 1 draft pick by the New York Knicks back in 1994. He played for 10 seasons with the Knicks, Spurs, Nuggets, Magic and 76ers before retiring after the 2003 season. 

Today on the podcast, we talk to Monty Williams about success, humility, the 2021 NBA Finals experience, serving others and the legacy he wants to leave.

Jon Seidl is the author of "Finding Rest: A Survivor's Guide to Navigating the Valleys of Anxiety, Faith and Life." He is also a huge Green Bay Packers fan and has worked with popular organizations like I Am Second and TheCourage and some of the media's biggest names including Glenn Beck, Kirk Cameron and Chip and Joanna Gaines.

Jeff Allen has been the Director of Sports Medicine with the University of Alabama since 2007. During his time at Alabama as their head Athletic Trainer, he's been a part of six national championships and is considered one of the most respected athletic trainers in the country. 

Prior to this time with the Crimson Tide, Allen served as the head athletic trainer at Tennessee-Chattanooga and Central Florida. 

Today on the podcast, we talk to Jeff about his journey to Alabama, why Nick Saban believed in him, how playing football helped guide him to becoming an athletic trainer and why his faith is crucial to the way he does his job and lives his life.

Johnathan Franklin is a former NFL running back. He was selected by the Green Bay Packers in the fourth round of the 2013 NFL Draft. In college at UCLA, Franklin had a standout career rushing for a school record 4,403 yards and 31 touchdowns. 

In his senior year of 2012, he led UCLA to a Pac-12 South Division championship rushing for 1,734 yards and 13 touchdowns. Expectations were high for the Los Angeles native and when he arrived at Green Bay, he immediately made an impact, rushing for 103 yards in Week 3 against Cincinnati. But in week 12 against the Vikings, Franklin suffered a neck injury that would end his football playing career at the age of 24.

Today on the podcast, we talk to Johnathan Franklin about his career-ending injury, what he learned from God during that dark time, how he was able to push forward and find new purpose and why he's excited to be in his front office role with the Los Angeles Rams.

Paul Mills is the men's head basketball coach at Oral Roberts University. For fourteen years from 2003-2017, Mills was an assistant coach with the Baylor Bears under head coach Scott Drew before taking the job with Oral Roberts on April 28, 2017.

In the 2020-2021 season, Mills led Oral Roberts on an improbable March Madness run that saw them defeat No. 2 seed Ohio State and No. 7 seed Florida to advance to the Sweet Sixteen before losing to Arkansas 72-70. They were just the second 15 seed to ever advance to the Sweet Sixteen in the history of the NCAA Tournament.

Today on the podcast, we talk to coach Paul Mills about his incredible March Madness run, the lessons learned from success and defeat, using the national platform as an opportunity to share the Gospel and his love for the movie Hoosiers.

Brett Hagler is the CEO and Co-Founder of New Story and a cancer survivor. Brett’s been recognized on Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list in 2016, named one of the Top 100 Most Intriguing Entrepreneurs by Goldman Sachs, and his company was named among Fast Company’s “Most Innovative Companies in the World” four different times.

Today on the podcast, Brett shares how a high school basketball career was derailed after being diagnosed with cancer at age 18. He also talks about leadership and how his relationship with Christ guides the work that he does in helping others across the world with New Story.

Jason Standridge was selected by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in the first round of the 1997 MLB Draft (31st overall). Four years later, he made his MLB debut with Tampa against Texas and would go on to pitch in parts of seven seasons in the Big Leagues appearing in 80 games with Tampa, Texas, Cincinnati and Kansas City.

In 2008, Jason made the decision to pith overseas  in Japan and was there for the next 10 seasons before retiring after 2017. A big part of Jason's journey has been serving and he's currently involved with Water Mission, a Christian engineering ministry that flights the global water crisis. He and his wife Joy have supported the ministry by taking trips to Haiti and Uganda in several refugee camps where Water Mission is serving.

Today on the podcast, Jason shares his story of choosing baseball over football, being recruited by Auburn to play quarterback, his MLB debut, why his faith in Jesus is the most important thing in his life and how playing Japan allowed he and his wife to pursue adoption.

Robert Golden played six seasons in the NFL with the Pittsburgh Steelers from 2012-2017. He went undrafted in 2012 after playing his college football at the University of Arizona and signed as a free agent with Pittsburgh. In 2018, he signed a contract with the Kansas City Chiefs but asked for his release and would retire from the NFL at the age of 27. 

Today, Golden has pivoted to a more purposeful work as the President and CEO of Golden Charter Academy in his hometown of Fresno, California. The school launched in August 2021 and has a mission to inspire powerful young minds.

On the podcast today, we talk to Robert about his strong faith in the Lord and how it guided him from the NFL to wanting to impact the youth in his hometown of Fresno.

Jason Wilson is the director of The Cave of Adullam Transformational Training Academy (CATTA), a program of The Union nonprofit founded in 2003. Jason has been featured on The Dr. Oz Show, Today, the Joe Rogan Podcast and CNN.

He received the President's Volunteer Service Award from President Barack Obama for his work with youth in Detroit and was the inspiration for an award-winning episode of the hit TV show This is Us.

Wilson is the author of multiple books including "Cry Like a Man" and his latest release, "Battle Cry."

Brett Phillips is currently an outfielder with the Tampa Bay Rays. He was selected by the Houston Astros in the 6th round of the 2012 MLB Amateur Draft. Five years later, he made his MLB debut on June 5, 2017 with the Milwaukee Brewers. After two seasons with the Brewers, he was traded to Kansas City, where he spent three seasons. In August of 2020, he was once again traded to the Rays and found himself in a pennant race that ultimately saw Tampa win the American League championship.

In October 2020, on the biggest stage at the World Series, Brett Phillips became a baseball hero. In Game 4 against the Dodgers, Phillips found himself at bat in the bottom of the 9th inning with 2 runners on and his team down 1 run. He would line a single to right field and ultimately both runners would score on the hit, giving the Rays a Game 4 World Series 8-7 win.

Today on the podcast, we welcome back Brett Phillips to tell us about his World Series moment, why baseball is fun, how his faith in God leads to the joy that he brings each day on the field and what his MLB All-Star Game correspondent experience was like.

He is currently a high school baseball coach and a sports chaplain and the host of "LINCH WITH A LEADER" podcast that launched in August 2017.

In 2012, Bethke’s YouTube video, “Why I Hate Religion, But Love Jesus,” went viral and has since received more than 34 million views. After the video, he decided to write the book “Jesus > Religion,” which would go on to become a New York Times bestseller.

His latest book, "Take Back Your Family: From the Tyrants of Burnout, Busyness, Individualism, and the Nuclear Ideal" released September 7, 2021.

Preston Spradlin is the men's head basketball coach for Morehead State. In 2021, he led the Eagle program to prominence winning the program's first Ohio Valley Conference Tournament championship in 10 years and leading his club to the NCAA Tournament with a 23-8 record. He was named OVC Coach of the Year. 

Spradlin joined Morehead State in 2014 as an assistant coach and became the head coach in 2016. Prior to his time with the Eagles, he spent 5 seasons with the University of Kentucky basketball program and head coach John Calipari. He spent two campaigns (2009-11) as a graduate assistant with the Wildcats before three years as the assistant director of operations (2011-14).  His duties included film breakdown, creating and maintaining playbooks, assisting with opponent scouting and day-to-day operations.

Today on the podcast, we talk to Preston about his historical 2021 season, his testimony of faith in Jesus, how Christ guides him as a coach, coming to work with Kentucky and the impact John Calipari has had on his life.

Christian Ponder is a former quarterback who played six seasons in the NFL. He was selected 12th overall in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft by the Minnesota Vikings. After spending four seasons in Minnesota, he played two more years with Oakland, Denver and San Francisco before retiring in 2017. 

In college, Ponder was recruited by legendary coach Bobby Bowden at Florida State and was a three-year starter for the Seminoles. In 2010, Ponder was the first Seminole quarterback since Chris Weinke in 1999 to lead his team to victories over both its in-state rivals, Miami and Florida. He also the 2010 Bobby Bowden Award presented to the top student athlete among FBS schools. Ponder graduated from Florida State in two and a half years with a degree in finance and a 3.73 GPA. 

Today on the podcast, Christian shares about his journey of faith, being baptized by Jon Kitna, the spiritual impact of his wife Samantha, and his memories of Bobby Bowden and the legacy he's left.
